  2. Spouse of the recipient, if at least 1 year has passed after registration of marriage;
  3. Children, parents, grandchildren, grandparents, brothers and sisters and their spouses, spouses of children, spouses of grandchildren of the recipient’s wife / husband, if at least 2 years have passed since the registration of the marriage;
  4. Persons who have close personal relationships with the recipient (persons who have a close and stable emotional relationship with the recipient for at least 2 years), if there is no living donor among the persons indicated in items 1-3, and there is no alternative method available treatment.

If the living donor is one of the persons listed in 1-3 points, then the permission of the Georgian Transplantation Council (body under the Ministry of Health of Georgia) is required; in case the living donor is one of the persons listed in the 4th paragraph, a court permit is required. Such permission can be obtained in a Georgian court.
