Additionally, out of compulsory vaccinations, children are vaccinated against meningococcal infection. The risk group includes children under 5 years old. The peculiarity of the infection is that, due to the presence of a protective capsule in meningococcus, small children (1-5 years old) are unable to effectively develop immunity against natural infection.

For vaccination use the Vaccine - NIMENRIX ™ / NIMENRIX ™ vaccine for the prevention of meningococcal infection of serotypes A, C, W-135 and Y (vaccination is carried out once)

Bexsero - a vaccine for the prevention of meningococcal infection of serotypes B (vaccination is carried out twice with an interval of 1 month)
